For the Ikea 'Pull up a Chair for Breakfast' Fundraiser.
The Chair was displayed at Ikea, Ottawa, February 27th to March 7th, 2010, along with cool chairs from other contributors.
The auction is now over. Thanks to all who bought a chair. And a special thanks and congrats to the person who bought the Dr. Who chair--Enjoy!

We gathered cool captions from the Dr. Who shows, chose fonts and colours, printed them using inkjet, cut them out and pasted them on. After that, the chair was given a coat of clear varnish.
Then we built a sonic screw driver that lights up, and mounted it on the chair. We also drew and cut out a Tardis, mounted a plastic plant holder, and glued the Tardis to the middle part so that it would spin when the plastic plant holder is spun.
We also sculpted all 11 Dr. Who heads, and attached them to various spots on the chair. And we painted a pinwheel, drew and coloured five of the Dr. Who assistants. cut them out and attached them to the pinwheel, which was then nailed to the side of the chair (the pinwheel can spin too!).
A 'Donna Noble' type Matchbox metal car was found, and painted the appropriate blue colour. Finally, we created and made the all important Daleks.
Wait! I almost forgot! On the left side of the chair is a coloured drawing of 'Cassandra', who is ringed by a metal frame, made from solder.
