"Cures For A Crabby Day"
I'm a versatile cartoonist with a lot of interests, and my work reflects that. Rates for my cartoons are generally between $50 and $100 apiece but the price does vary, depending on the kind of drawing you want and the kind of rights you want. In cases where there are considerable budget restraints (e.g., a new publication), I am willing to adjust my fees accordingly. Basically, I expect a fair wage for the work I do, but I'm not out to break the bank. Also, if a cartoon is requested for a charitable organization, school, church, etc., I'd ask for a voluntary donation in lieu of my regular rates. Please contact me for more information.
Talks/Workshop Information
I do give talks on Cartooning and Humour Writing, with special focus on perception. The talks usually include a workshop component of specially created cartooning games. I have a Master's Degree in Experimental Psychology, which enables me to talk about how our minds work in relation to humour. My cartooning and humour writing abilities allow me to talk about how our minds work without boring everyone to death in the process. It doesn't hurt that I also have a solid background in all aspects of the Dramatic Arts. The workshop part of the talk is really fun, absolutely not geared to drawing/writing ability, and is carried out in groups or pairs. People who have taken part in them have had a great time, as have I.
