I've been a professional, freelance cartoonist for over 12 years now. My cartoons appear in a number of publications, including newspapers, books, magazines and ezines.
Rates for my cartoons, illustrations and other artworks vary, depending on the kind of art you want and the kind of rights you want.
In cases where there are considerable budget restraints (e.g., a new publication, a charitable organization), I am willing to adjust my fees accordingly. Basically, I expect a fair wage for the work I do, but I'm not out to break the bank, and I believe in giving back to the community.

Each workshop is composed of a short talk, followed by a workshop component of specially created cartooning games.
Each workshop is designed to last at least one hour, but can be shortened (or lengthened) if need be. They are tied to art, art history, psychology and language skills.
Each workshop is especially useful for groups of people interested in learning how to have fun cartooning. Content is adjusted to fit with age of the participants.

I give a talk on Cartooning and Humour Writing, with special focus on art history, language skills and psychology.
I also give a talk on the links between cartooning and improving literacy. Why are cartoons useful in the classroom? This talk answers that question!
And, I give a talk on Cartoons and The Happy Brain: Why we love cartoons, and what they say about the society in which we live.

Cartooning Health, Problem Solving Techniques, Goal Setting
In adddition to the group workshops listed above, I offer a variety of creative workshops that are useful in any setting, including professional development retreats and conferences.
The workshops are:
1) Using cartooning techniques as a means of problem solving.
2) The many health benefits of cartoons, cartooning, including stress relief.
3) Make your workspace work for you. Ever wonder why people have a hard time making their workspaces a good place to stay focused? This workshop helps people take a new look at the reasons behind this. Participants also discover how to make their workspaces into places they want to spend their time in, whether it's an office or a cubicle.
4) 'Creating in the Middle of Things': How to Set Goals That Work for Your Personality and Needs.
The workshops revolve around fun, informative team building exercises,
tailored to fit the group involved.
